Opened by the Matacanes® Team in spring of the 2004. Impressive rocky formation with appearance of an enormous flat ceiling with a chimney in the center. It requires hiking and easy rock climbing up to 5.8 to get there. This site is located 5 km from La Huasteca park entrance and any vehicle get to the starting point. We'll get to the San Judas canyon hiking approximately 6 hours. 30 meter rappel in a natural chimney (rappel course included).

Meeting Point

The departure and return point is just a few meters passing the entrance of La Huasteca natural park, in Santa Catarina Nuevo Leon. To get to this point from down-town you'll take Morones Prieto avenue to the west; this avenue ends on the park entrance. From this point we'll move to a rural site, south the entrance.

Difficulty

Intermediate: this route is apt for people with little experience in hiking, the route involves walking in paths, between stones and can have down climbing. Although this can be your first adventure trip is necessary that you have the ability to move mountain terrain. All our routes includes rappel course. GOOD phisycal condition is required and no one with overweight will be admitted.

Groups

Groups can be made of 5 people minimum. In case of not being able to form a group, you'll have to make reservations with a payment of 50% and wait to be assigned to one of the groups formed by other people. If you can't be assigned, you'll be refunded. You may ask for VIP groups with no minimum persons and guides will be assigned exclusively for you including all meals, transportation from airport , cabins and hotel nights.
